Growing up as the oldest on a block full of girls, Laura started coordinating events at a young age. Whether it was organizing dress-up tea parties or lively, neighborhood wide games of kickball, she planned the fun for all of the Hopper Terrace girls. As an adult, she continues to fulfill her passion for event coordination gathering together friends and family for food, fun and celebration. Tea parties and kickball have matured into formal dinner parties, casual and entertaining game nights, chatty and relaxed weekend brunches and joyous holiday parties for groups both big and small.
While working full time as the Senior Event Coordinator and Planner at a premier loft space in New York City, Laura specialized in a great variety of events such as Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Galas, Awards Dinners, Trade Shows, Sample Sales, Charity Auctions and Corporate Meetings. After several years, Laura decided to follow her passion for private events and branch out on her own, by forming Elegant Events by Laura.

Kelly
Kelly's love of organization, details, and all things wedding make her the perfect person to be on the Elegant Events Team. Having watched the movie The Father of the Bride on repeat at a very young age (she will recite lines from the movie upon request), made her think wow planning weddings and helping a couple celebrate their dream day sounds like a great opportunity. The movie The Wedding Planner came out when she was in high school, and her mind was made up. She would be J.Lo.
With 7 years under her sparkly fanny pack, she has enjoyed everything from arranging flowers, making sure the Bride or Groom get to the venue on time and most importantly, making sure the Bride, Groom and their families don't have to sweat over any of the details.
